SPORT IN ACTION WELCOMES JUSTYNA JACKHOLT FROM ADDERSTONE FOUNDATION
Recently, Sport In Action (SIA) had the pleasure of welcoming Justyna Jackholt from the Adderstone Foundation to Zambia. The purpose of her visit was to gain a deeper understanding of how SIA works and to see firsthand how the organization’s Enterprise Program operates.Sport in Actions enterprise programme is centered around empowering young people with a life long skill, and giving them the ability to generate their own income. This can support their educational aspirations by affording going back to school or supporting their families and siblings through trying economic times.
During her visit, Justyna was taken on a tour of some of SIA’s sports Hubsites, culminating in a trip to MATERO, where she met with Jessica Kaluwe, the Sport In Action Enterprise Coordinator. The two engaged in productive discussions on how to further advance the Enterprise Program, exploring ways to enhance its impact on young Zambians.
The Adderstone Foundation has been a valued partner of SIA, committed to supporting the growth, development, and futures of young Zambians through sustainable programming in sports. In the past, the foundation has provided support for core programming, the launch of the Enterprise Project at Fountain of Hope site, and the construction of an ablution block to ensure good hygiene and a comfortable environment for young people.
This visit marks the third time in two years that representatives from Adderstone Foundation have traveled to Zambia to support and develop the partnership between the two organizations. Justyna’s visit follows previous visits by Ian Bagget, and demonstrates the foundation’s ongoing commitment to improving the lives of young people in Zambia.
Through their partnership, Sport In Action and Adderstone Foundation aim to empower young Zambians with skills, knowledge, and opportunities to succeed in life.
