Job Opportunities, Internships, Volunteering
SIA staff and volunteers work with children and youth each week, many of whom come from challenging backgrounds. Through this work, lives have been transformed due to knowledge enhancement in the area of health and life skills, behavioural change towards both family and peers and improvement in sporting abilities. The target groups for SIA’s work are orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs), youth, people with disabilities, and people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA).
Peer Leaders
Sport in Action is reliant on a team of committed and selfless volunteers within the community who conduct sporting activities integrated with skills programmes in schools and communities across Zambia. They act as a liaison officer between the project site, the local community and Sport In Action. As part of their role they conduct training workshops for other coaches, organize sports events and tournaments and provide feedback to Sport in Action on any challenges that the community, the school or project is experiencing.
